A day in the life of a Digital Writer
Due to the recent expansion of our client portfolio, we are looking to expand our Content Team with a Digital Writer. Reporting to the Content Team Leader, you will produce digital content ranging from articles and web static content to factsheets and feature stories.
Your main duties will be to:
- Conduct research and interviews to develop original and insightful stories
- Write engaging news and feature stories for websites, email newsletters, brochures, informative infographics, flyers and other digital promotional materials
- Edit and proofread written and multimedia content for accuracy, style and tone
- Perform comprehensive content analysis, assessing various digital assets such as articles, web pages and other forms of digital content
- Quality evaluation: evaluate content based on criteria such as accuracy, clarity, grammar, tone, style and adherence to guidelines
- SEO optimization from the content side of it
- Use multimedia tools to produce compelling digital content, including videos and podcasts
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute editorial strategies that align with assignments
If you have
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a digital content creator, with a focus on news and features
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proven experience in creating visual content
- Experience in content analysis, preferably in a digital or online environment
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in content management systems
- Experience with multimedia production tools, such as video editing software, audio recording equipment, Adobe Creative Suite and data visualisation tools is a plus
- Native English or native level
