Job Purpose:
EPFR is seeking a Sales Executive to join our sales team, based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will have a positive and proactive approach, with some experience developing new and existing client relationships, preferably within the institutional financial services market. The candidate should also be comfortable in dealing with clients and prospects both over the phone and in person, enjoying collaborating with internal business stakeholders, and managing the end-to-end sales process from lead generation and qualification through to contract signature.
Work Location: Onsite at the office in Hong Kong
Principle Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive new business sales measured against predefined individual and team targets
- Adopt a consultative approach to finding, understanding, and articulating value propositions for individual prospects, working closely with internal stakeholders such as the Quant Research, Account Management, Product and Support teams, to ensure maximum value provided to sales prospects & customers
- Ensure a complete and accurately maintained CRM system (Salesforce) for all customer interactions on a daily basis
- Effectively manage and forecast pipeline activities as well as maintain all relevant client engagement materials
- Help grow and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients and in doing so assist in supporting EPFR’s overall growth strategy
- Organize and participate in conference
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex value propositions and solutions to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Experience in, and ability to navigate and effectively manage complex client relationships and sales processes encompassing numerous stakeholders at all levels of a financial institution
- Keen interest in, and solid understanding of, global financial markets
- Efficient and effective multi-tasker, with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing workstreams with different clients
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial yet team-driven environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented team player
- Strong interpersonal and written, aural, and oral communication skills
- Capacity to learn new complex technical market data sales value propositions and efficiently and, with the appropriate support, effectively articulate these to clients in roles such as data science, quantitative analysis, sales & trading, investment strategy, economic research amongst others
Desired:
- Significant experience in market data, business intelligence, software solution sales, or related experience selling into and maintaining relationships with major financial institutions, including tier 1 investment banks and large asset management / hedge fund firms
- Expert knowledge of the global financial services landscape and key players within
- Experience in utilising Salesforce effectively as a CRM
- High level of achievement in an academic background in finance, economics or another financial markets related discipline
- Strong ability to report effectively to management on both high-level and detailed territory and account plans, as well as pipeline and forecasting to keep the business abreast of developments within EPFR’s key client-base
- Experience in utilizing account planning tools effectively
