Job Description:
The Associate Relations Manager will play an integral part in supporting and delivering associate relations support to all associates. This role will ensure that associate issues and needs are resolved fairly, objectively, and in a way that aligns with the Mars Five Principles. A key focus of the incumbent in this role is to provide Associate Relations support and issue resolution across all levels of the organization and mitigate any adverse labor impacts by providing deep policy and regulation knowledge.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in in Labor/Industrial Relations, Legal and HRBP
- Three or more years of experience working in a Labor Relations environment providing labor relations expertise
- Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals across all levels of the organization
- Deep knowledge in applicable employment and labor relations regulations (i.e. PRC Labor Contract Law, PRC Employment Promotion Law, Labor Union Law, etc.)
- Ability to rapidly mobilize and manage internal and external resources to mitigate risks to the Mars business and reputation
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and own discrete areas of responsibility
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and working effectively with manager while managing competing projects and/or demanding clients
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Develop relationships with business stakeholders to promote positive associate relations across the organization
- Establish a positive working environment that proactively creates of positive labor relations
- Follow up on open cases as required and drive assigned cases to resolution
- Monitor legislative compliance with respect to the resolution of each inquiry
- Drive fact-finding investigation (e.g. interviews, document review, and consultation with appropriate internal stakeholders) to resolve inquiries and develop written reports, and document results and outcomes
- Provide guidance and counsel across the organization on policies, procedures, documentation, and disciplinary actions
