The European Climate Foundation (ECF) is a major philanthropic initiative working to help tackle the climate crisis by fostering the development of a net-zero emission society at the national, European and global level. We support over 1000 partner organisations to carry out activities that drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement, contribute to the public debate on climate action and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world. The ECF brings together diverse perspectives and backgrounds to find the best innovative solutions to tackle climate change. We are focusing on engaging and hiring great people from a wide diversity of backgrounds to strengthen the cause. If you share our values of respect, innovation, and collaboration, join us.
Position:
Positioned at the center of the European philanthropic ecosystem around climate, the ECF fulfills its mission either through providing grants directly to partner organisations, or through providing a legal and fiscal hosting to several organisations (called “platforms”) working on specific climate-related topics. A platform hosted at the ECF is an organisation which has its own governance, strategy, staff and funding, and most of the time a global outreach, but relies on the ECF operational support for the usual administrative activities (HR, Finance, IT, Legal, etc..). The ECF has known a tremendous growth over the recent years as a result of its successful strategy. Such evolution entails the need to adapt the structure to respond to higher standards and additional complexity. In this context, the ECF is recruiting a dedicated Operational Manager to professionalise ECF service offerings to hosted platforms within the foundation, and coordinate operational platform needs and expectations. The Operational Manager will also be in charge of coordinating certain internal operational projects and participates to the optimalisation of ECF operational processes.
